Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center

The Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center was the newest specialty practice and research center at the University of Virginia Health System.  The project included secluded patient and publicly-accessible terraces, as well as a completely new design and circulation pattern the would encompass the Main Hospital Entrance, the Clinical Cancer Center, and the associated parking structure.

This redesigned circulation and streetscape sequence was the beginning of a renewal for all of the subsequent work to take place along Lee Street, the main thoroughfare of the Health System.  This work will also establish a new identity at the corner of Lee Street and Jefferson Park Avenue, and set the tone for the Hospital Complex more generally.
