OCCOQUAN REGIONAL PARK MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING

A number of improvements to the Occoquan Regional Park in Fairfax Station, VA were implemented in accordance with the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA) adopted Park Master Plan.  The 420-acre park is located in southern Fairfax County along the Occoquan River.  In July of 2013, the NVRPA decided to move forward with the first phase of those improvements.

The program for this Phase of the Master Plan included the following elements, encompassing about 20 acres of development: multipurpose building, waterfront plaza, large group shelter, and a renovated entrance feature. In addition, a number of other spaces have been designed to connect and enhance the building and functional features to the water and other spaces within the park.
